Boats

This series of oil paintings on gessoed board is Renata's second series of paintings for which she has taken boats as the subject. Her first series were created in summer 2005/2006 and were exhibited at the Sola Cafe in February 2006.

Renata's impressions of boats that are not necessarily correct in a maritime sense but the result imparts in some a sense of movement of wind and water and in all she has acheived a atmosphere suggestive of the freedom of travel and usefulness of these man-made artifacts.
