Old Thames

The subjects of these oil paintings on board are a couple of old buildings in Thames. The old Royal is a hotel standing on the corner of Brown St and Williamson St. The second subject is the Livery Stables building on Cochrane Street. Both buildings are listed as heritage buildings and hark back to the hey-day of Grahamstown (the north end of Thames where both these buildings are located).

Also exhibited with this series are two mixed-media works (not included here).
